Payment services with Russia and Belarus, RUB and BYN currencies
We remind you that Medicinos bankas will no longer provide account services in RUB (Russian rubles) and BYN (Belarusian rubles) currencies from 08/04/2022 to business customers and from 08/05/2022 to private customers. Until above mentioned dates RUB, BYN payments are possible, but you should evaluate your risks due to the fluctuations in the exchange rates of these currencies, possible restrictions on currency exchange and the fact that existing and newly introduced EU sanctions apply to payments valid in all currencies. Medicinos bankas does not service payments, when there are Lithuanian, EU or US sanctions / restrictions for payment parties, intermediaries or goods / services. Medicinos bankas will provide RUB and BYN currency exchange services only when there are respective opportunities in the interbank market. Please direct incoming RUB payments only through Medicinos bankas RUB correspondent account with UniCredit Bank, Moscow.
Payments in EUR (Euros), USD (US dollars) to / from Russia, Belarus, which are not subject to international sanctions / restrictions, are possible, but situation may change at any time without advance notice as sanctions / restrictions may be added. Please ensure that funds in EUR, USD and other major convertible currencies are only available to Medicinos bankas correspondent accounts with EU banks or are settled in Euros through the EU Target2, SEPA, SEPA-INST clearing system of which Medicinos bankas is a member.

All payments in Medicinos bankas sent to or received from the Russia and Belarus are being withheld and verified, the execution may take longer than usual. When making (sending and receiving) payments with Russia or Belarus, Medicinos bankas always requires to attach supporting documents (contracts, invoices, bills of lading, customs declarations), in the absence of them, payments will not be made. Medicinos bankas and intermediaries may deduct fees, when returning the funds to the payer;
