Time for change — Medicinos bankas becomes URBO
Urbo – a new name, the same values
We are excited to announce that from now on Medicinos Bankas has a new name – URBO.
This is the result of our growth, consistent pursuit of goals and ambition. But the new name is not just a visual change for us. With our new Lithuanian name, we are setting ourselves even higher standards: we will strive to improve your experience every step of the way. We are here to meet all your needs, so we would like to start by answering some of the most relevant questions.
You ask - we answer
The Bank has been operating in the country for more than 30 years. We have been a reliable and stable partner to our customers throughout this period, and we have been growing rapidly, so it is only natural that we have come to a point where we need to change. Understanding and listening to our customers and their needs gives us a clear vision for growth, expanding our services and improving the customer experience. The change of the Bank’s name is an integral part of the positive changes taking place in the Bank, which started at the end of 2022.

As we are a Lithuanian capital bank, we wanted to keep the Lithuanian identity in our new name. URBO is a short Lithuanian name that is easy to remember. It was not a random choice – a dune in Nida, one of the most beautiful places in Lithuania, bears the same name. The Nida Lighthouse, a navigational signpost, stands on it. We are a financial partner focused on the Lithuanian market, so the name URBO symbolises Lithuanian ambition, pursuit of goals, clear direction, and attention to people. These are our values. This is what URBO is about.
We hope you like our new name!
